SUMMER SCHOOL
Plainfield High School will offer summer school to 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade students. Most summer school classes will take place on EDMENTUM/ PLATO which is a self-guided online curriculum. Plato course options typically include: PE, Health, Prep for College/ Careers, Financial Responsibility, Computing Foundations, Government, Economics, World History, US History, Fine Arts, Culinary Arts Pathway and any needed credit recovery or grade replacements (retaking a class). There is no cost for Plato classes.
For any courses NOT in this group, students will use INDIANA ONLINE. "Move Ahead" classes such as World Language, Mathematics, Senior English or any electives will be taken this way. Indiana Online is an online curriculum that combines independent pacing and teacher instruction/ support. These Indiana Online courses are STUDENT PAY (no longer free). Students must complete registration at the Indiana Online website and be approved by their HS counselor. Registration link is below.
ANY STUDENT TAKING A SUMMER SCHOOL COURSE SHOULD COMPLETE THE GOOGLE FORM BEFORE MAY 16TH: SUMMER SCHOOL SIGN UP
INDIANA ONLINE REGISTRATION: https://indianaonline.org/ (only required for students taking a class NOT offered through Plato). Cost to students for Indiana Online classes is approximately $250 per class credit payable to Indiana Online prior to the start of class.
