Megan Brouillard, a 3rd grade teacher at Van Buren Elementary, was recently honored by the Hendricks County ICON as their Teacher of the Month. One of her students, Bailey Errett, wrote a letter specifically about Mrs. Brouillard stating why she deserved the honor.
\r\nAs part of the honor, the ICON brings Chik-Fil-A chicken and ice cream for the celebration, and the famous cow even makes an appearance.
\r\n\r\nMany of Mrs. Brouillard’s students spoke very kindly about her and her teaching. One student said that she makes learning math (his least favorite subject) fun, while another student said that her reason for liking Mrs. Brouillard is that she is very patient with them.
\r\nMrs. Brouillard treats all her students with kindness while keeping a firm grasp on learning and behavior. For instance, while waiting for the food, Mrs. Brouillard encouraged her students to read a book.
\r\n\r\nThank you to the Hendricks County ICON for their ongoing recognition of our county’s outstanding teachers, and congratulations, Mrs. Brouillard!
