Competitive spirit is in the air at Van Buren! Fourth and fifth grade students are beginning to prepare for the 3rd Annual Battle of the Books competition! Students form teams and read a list of twenty books chosen by the Indiana Library Federation. They read and study these books for months to prepare for the trivia style competition that will be held in January. All Plainfield elementary schools participate in the competition and all teams work hard in hopes that they might be crowned the Plainfield Elementary Battle of the Books winner! Good luck to all of our students as they begin this fun reading challenge!
