Van Buren Kindergarten students were encouraged to read a book, prepare a book report and decorate a pumpkin that represented their book. Earlier today, older students visited the Kindergarten classrooms to see the works of art, while Kindergarten students shared their book reports with classmates.
What a wonderful way to connect reading to art, to engage the entire family in a fun project, and to bring joy to learning. Our young students were thrilled to show off their pumpkins!
