Some Central second graders have been meeting Wednesdays after school since January for a new club at Central this year, Graphic Novel Book Club (GNBC). Sponsored by 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Roach, and parent volunteer, Mrs. Rongo, this club has been the talk of the second grade hall since it’s inception!
Students worked on their own graphic novel while also working together as a club to create a joint piece. The final graphic novel authored by the budding authors and illustrators? Cheeto-Man!
On their last day of GNBC this past Wednesday, parents were invited to come see not only what their child had created throughout the 2 months but to also see the group’s joint project!
Thanks to Mrs. Roach and Mrs. Rongo’s dedication, students left with a published copy of Cheeto-Man!
