Central Elementary's High Fives for Heroes event was a huge success!
We recognize this day, September 11, not only to remember those who lost their lives, but to recognize the impact everyday people had on helping save the lives of thousands. We pay respect today, so that we do not go on living our own lives without stopping to recognize what is important. \r\n
\r\nToday we honor people who lost their lives on 9/11, but just as importantly, the firemen, police officers, EMT’s, those who served in the military and/or are serving in the military. These men and women put themselves in harms way to keep us safe daily. They do this without thinking and expect nothing in return. They are the reason we are paying tribute.
