Central Elementary Robotics - Competition Season
Central's Robotics Club has been preparing for competition season throughout the first semester with weekly after-school practices, led by teacher sponsors Mrs. Gibbs and Mrs. Mitchell. 4th and 5th-grade students compete at the competitions while 3rd-grade students watch, learn, and practice so that they can soak it all up for their future as 4th and 5th-graders competing.
Recently, Central Robotics competed in a Saturday competition and had two teams make it to the finals! Our team won the Amaze Award AND the Judge's Award! The Judges’ Award is given to a team “that deserves special recognition. Judges consider a number of possible criteria for this award, such as team displays of special attributes, exemplary effort and perseverance, and accomplishments that may not fall under the other awards.”
Mrs. Gibbs and Mrs. Mitchell commented on how much fun everyone had and just how proud they are of the students. Way to go, Central CHAMPS!
