Clarks Creek students learn to live by the five standards of PRIDE as described above. Students work to achieve personal goals by demonstrating PRIDE while also working to help our school as a whole.
Based on positive behavior intervention and supports (known as PBIS in education-speak), students are rewarded for showing their PRIDE at school. When caught showing PRIDE, students are awarded credits which then accumulate to become PRIDE bands. In addition, this encourages students to work together to fill our giant credit-collector which goes towards an all-school reward. Quarterly PRIDE convocations serve to bring our students together to celebrate their accomplishments.
We hope that every child's Clarks Creek experience allows them to feel safe and welcome every day!
We do not tolerate bullying. At times, though, it can be challenging to determine if bullying is actually occurring. Here is how Indiana legally defines bullying:
Bullying means "overt, unwanted, repeated acts or gestures, including verbal or written communications or images transmitted in any manner (including digitally or electronically), physical acts, aggression, or any other behaviors, that are committed by a student or group of students against another student, with the intent to harass, ridicule, humiliate, intimidate, or harm the targeted student, and create for the targeted student an objectively hostile school environment."
Any student who witnesses or is a victim of bullying behavior should immediately report it to the nearest adults at school. It is much more effective to address such behavior as it happens. As a parent, if your child talks about behavior that you think might fall under the definition of bullying behavior, please report it immediately to our school.
We do not tolerate bullying, but we can't resolve these situations if we aren't aware of them. We appreciate our students and parents for their help as we work together to keep Clarks Creek a bully-free zone!

Our outstanding teachers and staff look forward to caring for your children in a safe, rich learning environment where each student can become the kind of thinker and problem-solver that our world needs. We strive to meet each student’s needs at just the right time with just the right blend of academic, social, and emotional support to allow each student to become his or her best. We attribute our students’ successes to their hard work, the dedication of our entire staff, and the untiring efforts of parents who work in tandem with us to create the conditions that allow our students to learn and grow. We look forward to continuing the Clarks Creek tradition of excellence as we prepare each student for his or her next steps in readiness for the future.
It is my hope that you will embrace all that Clarks Creek Elementary School has to offer both in and out of the classroom as we work together to make it a successful and memorable school year. I would encourage you to become involved with our outstanding PTO, as a volunteer, and in any number of other ways to help Clarks Creek continue to be a place where students love to learn, teachers love to teach, and parents love to watch their children grow. I look forward to seeing you in the building soon!
