Good morning,
Based on the latest guidance from Governor Holcomb and health officials, and in order to continue with an in-person Commencement, we must limit tickets to two, not four, per graduate. Only tickets numbered 1 and 2 can be used to attend commencement. As we explained several weeks ago when we first announced these plans, we understood that conditions could require us to make modifications as the date grew closer.
By reducing the number of guests, we are able to more closely align with the latest guidance on public gatherings.
We realize this is not the news that anyone hoped for, but it will allow us to move forward with an in-person celebration of the PHS Class of 2020.
Everyone in attendance will be required to wear a mask upon entering the football stadium, and congregating will not be allowed. We have taken steps to shorten the program as much as possible while still honoring our graduates.
We have hired a video production company to live-stream Commencement, and next week we will provide all the details for you to share with family and friends. While the crowd in the football stadium will be limited, we anticipate a significant audience will be watching from the comfort and safety of their homes.
More details about seating for guests, along with where to park and enter the stadium, will be provided next week. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work through these changing scenarios. But most of all, we look forward to honoring the young men and women of the PHS Class of 2020.
