PHS DECA participated in Indiana's DECA State Competition this past week. PHS was well represented by our students in all competitive areas! The following were the results for students who either placed and will advance to International DECA Competition or were recognized with an award for a highest test or highest role-play score:
1. Salik Ahmad competed in the Entrepreneurship Series Event. Salik received 3rd place overall and will represent Plainfield this April at DECA International Competition! This will be Salik's 3rd consecutive year as a national qualifier! Salik received 2nd place in Marketing and 2nd place in Marketing concepts. He also received a competency medallion for the testing component of his event.
2. Het Patel competed in the Entrepreneurship Series Event. He received 5th place overall. Het also received 3rd place in economics concepts and 3rd place in marketing concepts.
3. Cooper Springs competed in the Sports and Entertainment Marketing Series Event. Cooper received a competency medallion for the testing component of his event.
4. Julia Muskat & Leyton White competed in Hospitality & Tourism Team Decision Making Event. They placed 8th overall in their event, making them top ten finalists.
5. Chloe Nelis competed in the Marketing Communications Series Event. She received a competency medallion for the testing component of her event.
6. Alex Reever competed in the Marketing Communications Series Event. Alex received 3rd place in Information Management Concepts. He also received a competency medallion for the testing component of his event.
