Plainfield High School and PCMS Athletic Ambassadors teamed up this year for the Polar Plunge! Combined, the two schools achieved an impressive milestone by raising over $8,000 for Special Olympics Indiana, the highest amount ever raised for Plainfield Schools in this event.
Students worked tirelessly to get donations and spread awareness, resulting in a remarkable display of community support. Their dedication and enthusiasm were evident as they rallied together for such a worthy cause.
Special Education students from PHS joined in the fun by preparing hot chocolate and cookies for participants. Look at that line below! Giving away the drinks and snacks for free from the QuakerBrake, the Special Education food truck, was a gesture of kindness that symbolized inclusivity, compassion, and unity.
At 36 degrees outside with a water temp of 35 degrees in Eagle Creek Reservoir, the Polar Plunge was not only a thrilling experience filled with camaraderie and shared commitment to making a positive impact in our community.
