New Leadership for Van Buren and Clarks Creek Elementary Schools
As we look towards the 2025-2026 school year, there will be upcoming leadership transitions within our school community.
Mr. Ryan King, who has served as the dedicated principal of Van Buren Elementary this school year, will be transitioning to a new role as the principal of Clarks Creek Elementary where he will be replacing Mrs. Marisa Donovan, who is retiring. Mr. King’s commitment to the success of our students and staff has been invaluable, and we are excited to see him bring his leadership and vision to Clarks Creek.
Stepping into the role of principal at Van Buren Elementary will be Mr. Devin Carter, who has been serving as the assistant principal. Mr. Carter has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. We are confident he will continue to build on the positive momentum and success at Van Buren.
“We have good people here in leadership roles and this is no exception. I am excited to see the way that Ryan King will positively impact the students, staff and families at Clarks Creek. Additionally, Mr. Devin Carter has already put his stamp on Van Buren Elementary, which will only grow in his new role as principal. We have a continuum of leadership which ensures that leadership transitions like this uphold the school’s mission and sustain its success over time,” said Superintendent Scott Olinger.
These transitions will take effect July 1, and we are confident this will be a smooth and seamless process for our students, staff, and families. Both Mr. King and Mr. Carter are looking forward to their new roles and remain deeply committed to the success of all students in our school community.
