After meeting with seven outstanding finalists earlier today, it was the unanimous decision of its trustees to invite Danielle Bell to join the Plainfield School Board.
Danielle is a graduate of Plainfield High School and Indiana University, a Plainfield resident and local business owner, a parent of two Central Elementary students and a very involved volunteer within our schools. She has completed the Allies for Education program and is participating in this year’s Plainfield Citizens Academy.
Danielle’s leadership within the schools, combined with her demonstrated commitment to the community, will provide an excellent addition to the board.
School Board President Scott Flood shared some insight into the board’s decision, stating “Danielle has been a present, engaged, stakeholder who has demonstrated her commitment to the Plainfield school community for several years.”
“I have worked hard to build a strong foundation for success in this role, as it has long been a part of my personal vision to one day serve in this capacity,” explained Danielle. “I am honored to receive this appointment to the Plainfield School Board and look forward to being a part of such an incredible group of leaders.”
Reflecting on the day’s interviews, Scott added “The board is grateful for each candidate who participated in this process. Their experience, passion and insight assures us that our schools and community have a wealth of leaders who are poised to serve for many years to come.”
Danielle will be sworn into office in January.
