Central Elementary's musical, The Jungle Book, was so much fun to see this past weekend!
Lots of fun was had throughout the week of St. Patrick's Day at Central Elementary! Students made leprechaun traps and helped their teachers find Lucky the leprechaun and his gold coins!
March Madness in 1st-grade! Students used the Design Thinking process to create their very own prototype of a basketball goal. Then of course they had fun playing with them!

They are hiding gold coins in common areas such as the hallways, library, cafeteria, etc. Students can help point out/find gold coins for their teacher. Once a staff member finds 5 coins they get to redeem a prize! There will be 1 winner a day starting Monday March 14th-24th.
4th-grade students in Mrs. Tobey's class used both critical thinking and creativity when learning about theme. Students chose a song from a movie and had to provide evidence as to why they chose their song.
1st-grade students enjoyed their first ever field trip on Friday, visiting the Children's Museum!

Just a reminder: School is IN SESSION this Friday! In an earlier version of our school calendar, it was previously noted as a teacher development day. The calendar has since been revised and we are in school on Friday!
Students in 1st grade really worked on collaborating, communicating, critical thinking, and creativity as they were challenged with creating their own Yertle the Turtle and then stacking each of them!
2nd-graders love CHAMPS Club on Wednesday afternoons!
Every year, PHS 4th year Spanish students visit the elementary schools and teach a Spanish lesson to elementary students. The teachers love seeing their former students walking the halls of Central again and the elementary students LOVE learning from high school students! What could be better?!
Last Friday, our wonderful Mr. Wheeler hosted Central's All Pro Dad Breakfast. Over 150 people attended and were served breakfast. It was such a fun time for Central families!
This past week, Mrs. Todd's class Read One Plastic Bag: Isatou Ceesay and the Recycling Women of the Gambia. The second graders then repurposed plastic bags into friendship bracelets!
